Homework + on-site notebook

WBE at OCP 2026 Field Guide

Study the terms this week, read the cards for your sessions, and know what you are listening for before you sit down. On site, leave notes on any session card, or send a voice memo and Claude files it here for team review.

Study cards

The words you will hear all week

Tap a card to flip it. Each one says what the term means and why it matters to a pre-terminated fiber supplier. If you can explain every card in one sentence, you can follow any room at this show.

On site

How to take notes without a notebook

Debrief, don't transcribe. Thirty to sixty seconds into your phone right after each session or conversation.

The voice memo script

Monday, 224G AECs.
Heard: they claim copper reaches 2 meters at 224G, fiber after that.
Met: name, company, role.
They need: what problem they have.
Next step: who does what, by when.

Sharing your notes

  1. Start every memo with the day and session name, as above. The card code (like MON-01) works too.
  2. Snap a photo of the slide or badge that matters. No writing.
  3. Notes you type on a card are saved in this browser, on this device only.
  4. Each evening, tap Copy my notes and text or email them, with your memos and photos, to whoever is collecting them for the team write-up.

Recording rules

Record your own voice only. California requires everyone's consent to record a conversation, so never record a prospect or a hallway chat. Recording a public session talk can also break the event's rules, so capture your takeaways afterward instead.
